Our goal says it all: First Presbyterian Church of Iron County is a loving, caring, inclusive church serving and making a difference for people of our community and the world through Christ.
For over 60 years, our church has offered a place for worship, and with its members and friends has celebrated life's best events and hardest moments. Besides Sunday service including monthly communion, our church offers a special Night Light service Tuesdays at 6 PM CT, giving those looking for another means to connect to the church an alternative to Sundays.
Whether through bake sales of homemade goodies or Thanksgiving community dinners prepared with loving care, our church has long been a part of this community's life. One such mission is the "milk mission," a weekly stocking of our community mission's fridges with milk purchased through a fund started by Wesley United Methodist Church and now administered by our church. Several support groups meet here.
Through the generosity of loving members of our church family, friends, and members of other churches, hundreds of children have been shown God’s love through Operation Christmas Child: shoeboxes stuffed with wonderful gifts destined for other parts of the world (see right). Other special mission opportunities are offered in church, including efforts to help impoverished communities and worldwide youth. We've hosted visits from peace ambassadors acting as missionaries to our community.
